This probably basic and discussed, but can you create multiple profiles at different times and then upload? Ie you create profile 1 one dat, come aback the next create profile 2 and upload it? Or do you have to create ALL profiles you want to create at same time (ie uploading overrides all previous profiles on the avr, ie there is just one ARC file on the AVR contains multiple profiles?) I cant seem to create profile two without ARC running through and first creating a profile 1 THEN measuring for profile 2 (this is true whether i opt to use profile 1 measurements or not) Also if i choose not to print immediately after profile is created, can i go into arc files on laptop and print out freqncy charts at a later time? I am loving my 520! I'm actually finding 2 channel music to sound much more authoritative, warmer, and more dynamic than my previous receiver, the Yamaha Avantage 820! Which were both fed to my trusty Carver 705 power amp! Yet to get ARC, tried it, but check my screenshot below. After I click browse I get a file that says to type in file name. I tried the serial number which did not work. Says wrong file name. Did you download the microphone calibration from Anthem's site too? That's what it's looking for. Here is my first ARC attempt if it will let me. Look at that big hump on the fronts even after correrction (5-15K) bob A couple of comments about max EQ are probably appropriate before going forward. Some people find that correction around the Schroeder frequency is best. Others like it up to 500. Anthem defaults to 5000 and says correction above that can be problematic or it might work. IMO experimentation with different values can help find a value that works well in your room. The graphs look pretty good from 5000 Hz and below. Do you like how the HF sounds right now? If not, you could try raising your max EQ to 15000 or 20000 to see if you like the results. With my old speakers, 20000 produced the best looking graphs but 15000 sounded best. My new speakers sound best at 5000. As for lack of punch, the uncorrected graphs for L/C/R show quite a bit of energy below 100 Hz. Could it be that Anthem tamed that LF and that's what you no longer hear? What kind of room correction were you using before the Anthem? ![]() Do not enter a model number found on the original remote control.
